We’re currently looking to grow our Strategy blackbook, so please do get in contact if you are the following:- 

  • Pro active and experienced mid-level strategist, confident in managing projects independently. 
  • You have a toolkit of practical strategic methods and processes that you can demonstrate are effective.
  • You’re confident in writing clear and relevant strategic decks, creative briefs and case studies.
  • Experienced in planning and facilitating focus groups and interviews both online and in person. 
  • Experienced in the development of brand models (positioning/proposition, TOV/personality) brand architecture, audience profiling and segmentation.
  • You have an analytical mind that enjoys conducting research to draw insights and make recommendations on a raft of strategic challenges.  
  • You enjoy working closely with design teams to ensure strategic requirements are understood and aligned.
  • Organised and able to self-manage, flex to different clients and prioritise to meet deadlines.

Junior / Mid Weight

Full Time

bandstand is an exciting brand strategy, creative communications and content creation agency that prides itself on rebellious enquiry and fearless creativity to ignite change for our clients. Forever curious, we are a small independent agency based in Soho with a diverse portfolio of clients including energy, charity, retail, property, fintech and public sector. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Creative Artworker to join us, working alongside the creative, design and artwork teams.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience, be dependable, well organised and a personality in our lively and busy studio. You will have a genuine interest to want to learn more, be passionate about what you do, and have an eye for typography, layout, imagery and production.

You will be confident to engage in supporting your colleagues in multiple projects as you continue to grow and learn, whether that is in production techniques, print process or digital implementation. You will enjoy working collaboratively, and be comfortable working independently, taking responsibility for design adaptations, artwork and delivery.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Independently extending approved design concepts across a suite of assets, or adapting designs to work for alternative formats. 
  • Supporting the artwork team to create final artwork for a range of print and digital deliverables.
  • Liaising comfortably with the design and client services teams as well as production partners.

 

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar environment 
  • Accomplished Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop skills are essential
  • Knowledge of Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word 
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Strong understanding of typography and typesetting
  • Be proactive in project development 
  • Light on your feet with a passion for what you do
  • The desire to learn and be part of a team 
  • A good listener able to understand both verbal and written briefs
  • Communicate with all parties to enable smooth workflow
  • Be an enthusiastic member of studio life at bandstand

Full Time

We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Hybrid Creative/Designer to join us in our exciting integrated agency in Soho. We’re looking for someone with experience of creating brands from scratch and seeing them through to completion, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to inject ideas along the way.

Now, who we’re after.

Role requirements:

  • You’ll need to respond to varied briefs and deliver highly engaging creative work across a variety of disciplines, from branding to ad campaigns, websites to brochures, films to photoshoots.
  • Bring your ideas to life visually through mood-boards, scamps, storyboards, mock-ups, designs or any other means you know will work best.
  • Take your ideas from concept right through to execution yourself, working alongside our in-house production/artwork team to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Work collaboratively with and be a vocal member of our team of hybrid creatives to bring your ideas to life or, be required to use your own initiative and work independently.
  • Seek and take feedback and guidance from our Design Director who heads up the Creative Department.
  • Be confident in presenting your work and the ideas behind it, both internally and externally to clients.
  • Have the ability to smoothly slip over to other roles to cover absence or help pick up the slack, from production bits, design amends to art direction.
  • Push and elevate bandstand’s creative output at all times.

 

You:

  • Are a hands-on, enthusiastic, energetic creative designer with a great eye for detail, a big sprinkle of flair and sense of humour. You’ll have at least 8 years of agency experience developing creative and crafting the design from concept through to completion.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of, and passion for, art-direction, design, layout and typography.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and very high standards for design.
  • Can work collaboratively in person, or remotely using a range of tools including Microsoft programmes and Google Docs.
  • Are enthusiastic, eager to learn, unafraid to do things differently and have a can-do attitude.
  • Are a team player.
  • Are a problem solver who thrives on cracking a client’s brief and pushing it further than expected.
  • Aren’t afraid to throw in the odd cheeky, Marmite idea.
  • Are willing to step outside of your comfort zone and “the norm” and give basically anything a bash.
  • Are used to working on multiple clients at any one time.
  • Stay culturally aware, with your finger on the pulse of new work and an interest in current trends and influences.

 

Must haves:

  • At least 8 years’ agency experience.
  • A broad portfolio of work that demonstrates your design talent across branding, marketing, campaigns and advertising.
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, with a focus on InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of After Effects would be a big plus.
