Westlab

Return to You

Life is full on. But most people don’t actually want to take any of it away. They want to find a way to have it all – to be the best version of themselves. When Westlab asked us to create their first-ever brand campaign, it was this core truth that became our hook.

When it came to introducing mineral-rich Westlab bath salts to the nation, we didn’t lead with the physical benefits of bathing or even escape. Instead, we celebrated something more distinctive and emotive. The reason people take the time to have a bath in the first place: to feel like themselves again.

Once we locked down the strategy, the creative development saw us tell two very human stories, one of a constantly-juggling mum, and one of a cycling fanatic. Just like taking your vitamins or getting your steps in, we positioned Westlab as a powerful tool to help them balance their gloriously chaotic lives. As a brand with excellent market share but very low recall, we rooted the creative in the bathroom with big, bold packshots to aid those shopping aisle moments.

These quiet, honest moments weren’t about perfection (because yes, the kids
will still be running around and your mate will still be giving you stick) but about visualising relaxation in its purest, cleanest form. We crafted and produced
a series of films for social and digital, as well as a photography campaign
which we splashed across buses, train platforms, roadsides and shopping malls.

We turned bathing into a restorative reset. Because a Westlab bath
is more than self-care. It’s returning to yourself.

WHAT OUR CLIENT SAID

“bandstand have been true partners. They combined sharp strategic thinking with standout creative, pushing us to be braver, clearer and more distinctive at every step. The collaboration was effortless, and the time and passion bandstand brought to the process made us, as an emerging brand, feel genuinely heard, valued and championed.”
